The Matheson Library History Room is located in the Cheraw branch and is open during regular library hours. The focus for the Matheson History Room and local Digital Collection is on an accumulation of community and family historical documents and information, especially those referencing areas of Chesterfield County and South Carolina. The collection continues to grow through library funding and generous donations from the community.
While none of the collection circulates, there are also resources available online. Many of the original documents have been digitized and are available below. All of the local history photographs will soon be available for viewing on our website in our photo gallery.
